The Kirchweih in Tettau in upper Franconia is celebrated on the second weekend in October. It starts on Friday afternoon with the erection of the fair tree, followed by the fair dance on Friday and Saturday evening. The highlights are the funfair market and the funfair parade on Sunday. The traditional funfair funeral at the fountain on the market square takes place on Monday evening.
